John Lill, piano - United Kingdom

London Pianist John Lill was one of the great guests of the “Bogota is Beethoven” Festival, 2013.  Lill returns for the official opening of “Bogota is Mozart” Festival, which will take place in 2015.

"As near to perfection as we can hope for"- this is how The Guardian newspaper defines this pianist who in 1970 won the highest award for piano at the Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow.

John Lill's repertoire includes over seventy concerts, and he is acclaimed in particular as a leading interpreter of Beethoven, having performed the German composer's complete sonata cycle on several occasions in the UK, USA and Japan.  He has participated in international tours with the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of the City of Birmingham, Hallé Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra of Scotland.
