This famous Norwegian jazz band is one of the few sets that performs the New Orleans Jazz Revival- a mix of traditional jazz with rhythm & blues.
It was founded in 1972 and, to date, has recorded 15 albums, performing with solo artists such as Lillian Boutté, Topsy Chapman, Jan Harrington, Thais Clark and Al Carson. It is a frequent guest at the prestigious Festival of Jazz in New Orleans.
It is conformed by Anders Bjornstad (trumpet), Gunnar Gotaas (trombone, vocals, harmonica), Georg Michael Reiss (clarinet, saxophone, vocals), Hakon Gjesvik (piano), Børre Frydenlund (bass and vocals), Sebastian Haugen-Markussen (bass) and Torstein Ellingsen (drums).
