Ernesto Jodos is one of the most important jazz musicians of Argentina in the last 20 years. He has received important awards such as the Carlos Gardel Award for Best Jazz Album of the Year in 2008, awarded by the Argentine Association of Interpreters. He will be accompanied by Johannes Bockholt (percussion) and Pepe Berns (bass).
While attending primary and secondary school, Ernesto Jodos studied piano and harmony with various masters, including Gustavo Moretto and Edgardo Beilin. By this time, at age 16, he received from vibraphonist Gary Burton a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA), where he graduated with honors at age 19.
With his jazz trio, he performs a variety of music by different composers. He has recorded and performed entire programs dedicated to academic Argentine music by Alberto Ginastera, Alberto Williams, Gerardo Gandini and pianist Lennie Tristano.
