Considered one of the world's greatest orchestras, the Philharmonia Orchestra visits Colombia for the first time. This legendary group will be headed by Maestro Vladimir Ashkenazy, who since 2000 has served as Conductor Laureate of the Orchestra.
Founded in 1945, the Philharmonia Orchestra is considered the official orchestra of the United Kingdom. Thanks to its main conductor, Maestro Esa- Pekka Salonen, it occupies a privileged place in the symphonic field through its residency program, the quality of interpretation, and the use of technology to conquer new audiences.

Vladimir Ashkenazy, renowned pianist and conductor, is one of the main figures in orchestral conducting around the world. Among his many positions, he is Music Conductor of the Youth Orchestra of the European Union, and Conductor Laureate of both, the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and NHK Symphony Orchestra. He maintains strong bonds with the Cleveland Orchestra and Deutsches Symphonie -Orchester Berlin (Chief Conductor and Artistic Director 1988-1996).
