Jeffrey Bradetich, double bass - USA
Described by the New York Times as "the master of his instrument" Jeff Bradetich is considered one of the greatest double bass performers and teachers in the United States. The recital at Teatro Estudio will feature the participation of Russian pianist Sergei Sitchkov.
Since his debut in New York at Carnegie Hall in 1982, Bradetich has performed more than 500 concerts in five continents. He has won numerous competitions as a soloist and has made appearances on radio and television throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia. He has been active giving lectures and workshops, and has transcribed more than 100 works for solo double bass.
Bradetich's DVD has become a standard in the field of education, and he recently launched a DVD recording of Bach's Cello Suite No.1. He also works as a juror for major competitions in Germany, England, North and South America, and China. He has recorded six albums for piano and double bass including two firsts for the double bass: a Christmas album and a Children's recording.
