“Gulliver's Travels”, Obraztsov Puppet Theater [Russia]
“Gulliver's Travels”, a show based on the story of British writer Jonathan Swift, closes this group's presentations at Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo.
The company created more than 50 characters for this show including puppets made of rods and flat surfaces, and giant puppets with the shape of arms, legs and heads.
Obraztsov Puppet Theater was founded in 1931 by actor, director, painter and writer Sergei Obraztsov, whose films, shows and books are recognized and appreciated around the world. In 1970, the Theater moved to a new special building, built with a huge interior yard, and the only mechanical clock- tower with dolls in Russia. Currently, the Theater has a team of 300 employees.
