Philharmonia Quartett Berlin - Germany

Founded in 1882, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the world's greatest orchestras.  Currently led by Simon Rattle, the Orchestra has different chamber music ensembles; one of them is the string quartet comprised of the leading musicians of their respective sections in the Orchestra, which has been praised by musicians such as violinist Yehudi Menuhin.

Regarding its performances, its cycles of Beethoven and Shostakovich outstand.  The quartet follows the essence of Joseph Haydn, and bases the transition to romanticism on Ludwig van Beethoven.

The members of the Philharmonia Quartett Berlin are Daniel Stabrawa (First Violin), Christian Stadelmann (Second Violin), Neithard Resa (Viola) and Dietmar Schwalke (Cello).
