Andrés Orozco- Estrada
Born in Colombia and educated in Vienna, Andrés Orozco- Estrada is one of the most outstanding conductors of his generation. For the start of the 2014/15 season, he will be assuming the positions of Music Director of the Houston Symphony Orchestra and Principal Conductor of the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra. He has worked with some of the most important orchestras in the world including the Vienna Philharmonic, Munich Philharmonic, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, London Symphony, London Philharmonic, Houston Symphony, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Santa Cecilia Orchestra of Rome, Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestras, Cologne and Hamburg, French National Orchestra, and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.
Vahid Khadem – Missagh
Born in Austria, Vahid Khadem–Missagh received his first violin lessons at the age of four by his father and Margarete Biedermann. He has performed as soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Nagoya, Tonkuenstler Symphony Orchestra, Wiener Kammerorchester, Academia Allegro Vivo, Castile and Leon Symphony Orchestra, and Amsterdam's Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. He has won first place in several competitions such as the "Concorso Internationale di Stresa" in Italy 1996, "International Chamber Music Festival Austria", and was winner of the Austrian Radio Prize. He is a regular guest at the Musikverein in Vienna, Luxembourg Philharmonic, Palace of Fine Arts in Brussels, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, Salzburg Mozarteum, Vienna Klangbogen Festival, Salzburg Festival, European Forum Alpbach, International Chamber Music Festival Austria, Allegro Vivo, Beethoventage Baden, Mondseetage Festival, and Klangspuren Tirol, among others.
